About Strongman Results

Strongman Results is an open, independent results archive for US strongman — the sport's equivalent of OpenPowerlifting. It currently tracks 1661 competitions, 21,983 athletes, and 277,004 event results across PSL, Strongman Corporation, and USS sanctioned events, updated weekly (last update 2026-08-14).

The database is rebuilt from archived source data on every update, results are never altered from what the meet published, and the full dataset is free to download on the open data page.

How the rating works

Strongman scores do not compare across competitions. One meet presses a log, the next presses an axle; one counts reps at 220 lb, another counts max weight. Adding those numbers together would be meaningless.

What does compare is who beat whom. Every division is treated as a round robin — if you placed third in a field of ten, you beat seven athletes and lost to two. Ratings move on those results using Glicko-2, the system used for chess and competitive games. Beating a strong field moves you more than beating a weak one, and beating someone unexpected moves you most of all.

Athletes who never met can still be compared, because the sport is densely connected: about nine in ten rated athletes are linked to each other through chains of shared divisions. If you beat someone who beat someone who beat them, that path carries information.

Each rating carries a deviation — the ± figure — which is how uncertain it is. It starts high, falls as you compete, and rises again during a long layoff. A rating of 2100 ±90 is a far less settled claim than 2100 ±40, and both are shown. Athletes need at least three competitions to be ranked publicly, so a single strong result cannot put a newcomer at the top of the country; below that the rating shows as provisional on their profile.

Divisions with a single entrant are skipped entirely. Winning a field of one says nothing, which is also why every placing on this site is published as “first of nine” rather than just “first”.

The rating is derived data, rebuilt from scratch with the database every week. It is our calculation, not an official ranking of any federation.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the results come from?

Results are collected from public Iron Podium scoreboards, the platform PSL, Strongman Corporation, and USS meet directors use to score their competitions. Every competition page links back to its Iron Podium source.

Which strongman federations are covered?

PSL, Strongman Corporation (including NAS classes), and USS sanctioned competitions in the United States, from mid-2024 onward. New competitions are added automatically every week.

How are the leaderboards ranked?

Only max-weight events on comparable implements feed the leaderboards, and each lift variant ranks separately: an axle deadlift is not a bar deadlift, and neither is a max the same as a rep event. Apparatus-dependent lifts — car deadlift, viking press, frame lifts, where every rig is different — never rank across competitions and appear only as personal bests on athlete pages. Moving events come in three modes: max-weight carries rank on the leaderboards with the course distance shown and filterable; timed carries, stone runs, and medleys count toward competition placings only, because implement weights and course setups differ by meet. Every leaderboard row shows the event name exactly as contested so you can judge comparability yourself.

I competed — how do I claim my profile?

Use the "Claim this profile" link on your athlete page. Claiming is free and lets you verify your page and request corrections. Supporters who donate can add their Instagram link to their profile.

I found an error. How do I get it fixed?

Email mason@yourhubspotexpert.com with a link to the page and the correction. Scores are shown exactly as published by the meet; scoring errors should also be reported to the meet director.
